EMBRAER ERJ-145

With four cutting-edge technology, jet type, 49-seat aircrafts, Athens Airways gives the passenger the sense that he flies with his private jet. This type of aircraft is ideal for regional destinations, characteristic of its high performance, as well as of its low operational costs. Equipped with turbofan engines, ERJ-145 offers to all passengers a smooth and pleasant flight even in tough weather conditions. The first Embraer jet type airplane was launched in 1996. More than 600 airplanes have been delivered to air transport companies all over the world ever since.
ATHENS AIRWAYS’ FLEET
Athens Airways’ fleet comprises of four ERJ-145 aircrafts of the Brazilian company EMBRAER. ERJs 145 are jet type, 49 – seat airplanes with Rolls Royce engines producing not only low noise levels but also low levels of atmospheric pollutants. Reliable, flexible and with fast turn-arounds, ERJs 145 are of low financial risk, ideal for regional destinations.
The number of airplanes will increase after the first year of operation, in order to serve more destinations, inland and abroad.
ATHENS AIRWAYS AND INSPIRATION
Athens Airways offers a compass - point of reference to Modern Greek Painting, naming its aircraft after Greek painters.Athens Airways transmits inspiration, creativity and soul searching of artists all over Greece, communicating Greek Art to its passengers.
The first aircraft is named after Yannis Gaitis, the second after Nikos Eggonopoulos, the third after Nikos Kessanlis and the forth after Spyros Vasileiou.
